I used to be a huge fan of WWF, WCW, NWA completely blind to the careers of black wrestlers and what they had to go through to get where they are today. I was watching this video on YouTube when suddenly, "This video is no longer available" about watching it about a third of the way through (not far off from the point of the video). I am grateful I was able to finish it on Patreon but what the hell? What did you violate on YouTube? Everything I saw was free use. I've seen lots of content creators posting far more footage on YouTube of WWE matches on their channels and you didn't say anything too controversial. Did you take it down yourself?

2024-03-28 16:51:52 +0000 UTCI started watching WWE in the early-mid 2000s, so I'm very much a product of the John Cena takeover. I genuinely wanted tp be a professional wrestler for a large part of childhood, even knowing the fakeness of it all, I equally found a love and appreciation for the story-telling. However, as highlighted in the video, I didn't have many faces that looked like me to look up to and strive for. I ultimately outgrew my interest just after the Daniel Bryan championship reign so I never got to see the Kofi Kingston redemption arc covered in this video. i'm 23 now and havent watched WWE in over 10 years but this video really made my day. All of the ideas and topics covered were things I knew and felt both consciously and subconsciously as a child watching these stories. Thank you so much for telling the story and making this video!
