Having examined 12 rules I think there are some very limiting ideas in this philosophy of self help. He seems to discourage working together to address systemic problems insisting that everything that is worth fixing can be fixed through self improvement.
This is dangerous since it isn't always true.
(It's equally dangerous to make every problem a systemic one.)

I have to disagree about Jordan Peterson. I am on the far left (black, African American Studies Undergrad at UMass Amherst) and enjoyed Jordan Peterson when he was performing his biblical lectures and early class room posts. His book 12 Rules for Life is great. I think once he took the stance against pro-nouns and fell out of favor with the left, he went hard right. Especially after his recovery from drug abuse, where twitter trolls on the left wished for his death.
