SUMMER SEASONAL UPDATE!
Added 2019-06-28 14:55:33 +0000 UTCSummertime! Party! No Rules! Seasonal progress updates!
Hello everybody, it's time for another peek into what's happening on OSP and what you can look forward to before the new school year.
First off, we want to thank you all for supporting us here on Patreon. We just crossed 1,000 Patrons last week and it's so humbling for us that you dedicate the time and resources into watching our work and supporting us in our quest to make more. It has given us the stability to do this full time and we're beyond grateful for each and every one of you.
This past season was great for the channel. In addition to laying on the memes like you asked, we dove deep into some more myths, wrapped up long-running arcs for China and Rome, hit some more subscriber milestones on our way to the big 1 Million and put out some more DiVines, and kicked off our Summer Stupidity series with City Reviews for New York and London. The response to those have been great so far, and we're looking forward to more of those in the coming months — We're aiming for as many Tuesday uploads as we can manage, but we'll run out of cities we've visited at some point, so let us know what other kinds of summer stupidity you'd like us to do in the POLL down below. We've also built up our Discord (https://discord.gg/sS5K4R3) — so be sure to hop over there and claim your patron flair if you haven't already.
Outside of OSP, Spring saw the start of Red's own WEBCOMIC!!! Head to https://comicaurora.com/aurora/0-1-1/ to start reading Red's original fantasy story, written and beautifully illustrated all by her. Be sure to follow https://twitter.com/AuroraWebcomic on Twitter for updates. New pages are posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Red is thrilled to be working on this project, and we think you'll really enjoy reading it.
We've got some great new videos on the way. More Trope Talks, a deep-dive into the origins of the Atlantis myth, City Reviews for Boston and Chicago, a new History-Makers on Marco Polo, and new History videos for the Byzantine Empire and India (from the Indus river all the way to British decolonization!), and, of course, we've got something short but oh so sweet ready for when we cross 1 Million subscribers. We actually have two things, now that I think about it. ~~mysterious~~
There's some new Merch designs on the way, and we hope to have some bigger merch news to share in the coming months. Also, for better visual clarify here on Patreon, we have updated the tier descriptions to be Bullet Points — don't be alarmed, nothing about the tiers themselves has changed.
Overall, things have been going very well this past spring, and we're really looking forward to what we have planned for the summer. We've got some cosmetic updates ready to go for when we hit the big 1M, but other than that, it's pretty much a straight shot to the Fall, which is usually our busiest season as the daylight hours slink towards 5PM and everyone gets all the books in the world assigned all at once.
Today's question is pretty straightforward — what would you like to see in our Summer Stupidity series after we run out of Cities to review?

2019-06-28 20:55:34 +0000 UTCI did very much enjoy the poetry readings you guys did a while back! That might be a fun thing to throw back into the mix
2019-06-28 20:28:26 +0000 UTCAll of those are good options.

2019-06-28 19:42:38 +0000 UTCI second the music! I've been looking for a compilation of all the ending song covers or at least a way to find which song on which video.
2019-06-28 15:10:58 +0000 UTCWhat about perhaps a music episode. Like a discussion of why some of the songs that are used in your videos are?
