It's a map of the Inca empire at its height, stretching up and down the Andes mountains, right around 1500.

It's amazing thinking about some of the unrelating things that were happening at the same time as each others. The date of 1500 reminded me of historical re-enactment I used to do, as that was the period I was involved in (1450-1500 specifically), but it was European stuff I was doing, not Inca empire :D very different worlds I'm sure
