This post is brought to you by "Staying Up Way Past Your Bedtime Because You Really Wanted To Try Making A New Map For Next Week's Video And Then OH SHIT That Is One Pretty Map."
It's a map of the British Isles for next week's video about the history of Scotland. It usually takes me about half an hour to an hour to get the base image for a map (and then I freehand the borders on later), but this map took me the better part of three hours to assemble because I had to run it through three different programs to get it to work.
I'm really hoping that you all like it, because I absolutely love the way it turned out. The biggest benefit of this one is: Mountains, which can be a nice thing to have indicated. But it's also a 4000x4000 square, so I'll be able to zoom in and out, which is really cool. And, y'know, it's got that Scottish bichrome blue and white.
I'm really excited to give this one a go in the coming days as I work on finishing my script and doodling up my maps. And I hope you like it too!
