It inspired me to try to find more stories of evil kings committing mass infanticide, as the parallelism between Kansa wanting to kill Krishna and Harod trying to kill baby Jesus is quite stark. I am failing miserably in finding more examples, which I am sure are out there. My Google-fu is normally pretty good, but not today. Do you know of any more myths concerning this type of thing?
