2020-01-22 12:19:03 +0000 UTCWhat boils my onions about Irene is that by messing her up people also ruin Sherlocks more delicate characterisation. Read scandal in bohemia with the result and genre in mind and you realise that Sherlock us playing the part of the villain. He us helping an aristocrat hide his infidelity and extort a blameless woman, and he assumes he is the right! Sherlocks clsssism and chauvinism let him be turned into the villains tool, and never learns! For the rest of his carrier he continues to underestimate female clients and suspects. By making her a master criminal you remove flaws from Sherlock.
