Kept thinking of DBZ Abridged lines and moments as you would discuss them from the show, that was fun! 2. Agree with Red, that Dragon Ball would lose a bit of itself when it treated itself to seriously, like Man Of Steel lacking the campy hope of the Superman mythos. 3. I get where you’re coming from with ending at the namek saga, but I personally enjoy the Android and Cell Saga. It had great character moments, introduced the more reasonable Trunks and a … PERFECT villain in Cell, and had a great resolution at the end. For what to do after Namek, I feel like Gohan’s arc of following his dad is mostly well handled, one could even say he took his father POV role after the bridge to Z, with him being the one fighting the main enemies alongside Goku’s friends, and also making a contrast between the two with him being unable (or hold back) to be the warrior his father is. All culminating in his fight with Cell, a being containing the DNA and abilities of some of the most powerful beings from original Dragon Ball to then, almost literally trying to live up against the legacy of his father, leading to him actually surpassing him in power level! As for the androids, I would guess that Gero altered them with tech from King Cold ship wreckage, since he was already checking it out for DNA samples. All of this just being a long way of saying that I completely understand your perspective, but also really wanted to share mine (Though I kind of End it after the Android/Cell Saga myself). 4. Manga is the best version? Yeah that’s fair. 5. Really well made video, loved the effort and discussion involved! Have an awesome weekend!
