SPRING SEASONAL UPDATE!

Spring! Set your clocks back and keep there because it's time for d a y l i g h t.

It has been a deliberately quiet start to the year over here at OSP. So in uncharacteristically concise fashion, let me run down what's new and what's coming up next for OSP:

First up: poll results from previous seasonal updates — we haven't forgotten about the results from previous polls. So in the future, expect that OSP After Dark stream about Magic Systems, and a reading stream of Count of Monte Cristo. We've pulled back on streaming in the past several months because it's the easiest thing to cut to save time and energy without compromising the week-to-week operations of the channel. We will get to them, it just might take a minute.

Next: We've got some cool new videos coming soon — on the myth front we've got the stories of Actaeon the hunter, the Siberian folktale of the Sun Maiden and Crescent Moon, and Hephaestus' Golden Net. History-wise we've got a history of Ukraine, Mycenaean Greece, another architectural deep dive, and a History-Maker on the Roman epic poet Quintus Smyrnaeus.

Relevant for all of you: we're brainstorming additions to our patreon tiers — A few months back Patreon announced a dedicated merch store which allows for creators to send physical merch directly to the patrons as part of their tier reward. One of the things we're considering doing is adding a sticker sheet to our tier rewards, but we haven't hammered out the details yet. We'll make an announcement post once we have more to share.

As far as merch goes: more Pins are on the way — Our next enamel pin release will go along with the Golden Net myth in a few months, but before then we'll be having a Spring Cleaning Sale on our crowdmade shop for all of our pins. So if you'd like to grab one of the pins that you might have missed, we'll have everything in stock between April 8th and 22nd. The more popular pins are in shorter stock to begin with, so if you missed Artemis and Apollo, you'll want to be quick on the draw April 8th. We'll post announcements when the sale goes live.

Usually, we turn this over to you with a question and ask you to respond to a poll, but this time it's free form. Red is getting started on the next batch of Trope Talks, and she needs trope topic recommendations! So if you have an idea for a trope you want to see, comment below!

Cheers and happy Spring,

Logaerys Targaryen

Have a like because Farscape is awesome.

The Narrator

Ooh, trope suggestions? Let's see here… • Dark fantasy • Space opera • Dead all along (e.g. Sixth Sense, Made in Abyss, Jacob's Ladder) • Redemption arcs • Cyberspace • All mythology is real (e.g. Indiana Jones, D&D, Shin Megami Tensei) • Demons • Classical elements • Anti-villains • Clones • Biopunk …I'll admit, I put in those last three just because they're relevant to Farscape, and I *really* want more people to see Farscape.
