SUMMER SEASONAL UPDATE!

It was so hot the past two weeks i forgot about the summer seasonal update. It's toasty out there.

This update will be a quicker one, in part because the Big Thing coming down the pipeline is also the easiest to explain: BOOKS.

Indeed, Red's webcomic AURORA is finally nearing its physical release on July 29, you can pre-order it here: https://comicaurora.com/books/ and if you pre-order in the US you can fill out this form https://site.andrewsmcmeel.com/aurora-pre-order-form to get a special sticker sheet Red designed brand new for this. Meanwhile, Volume II is now in production, so the second half of Aurora Arc 1 will hit shelves sometime next year.

Meanwhile, the VENEZIAD is also rolling along, still eyeing a tentative August shipment date, but it might slip to September depending on a few factors. I don't have any more to share at the moment, but I can say that the channel will get two videos related to the Veneziad when the book ships. First will be a Making-Of retrospective on the history of the story, from concept to publication, and second will be the promised audiobook narrated by me. That one will likely hit a month or two after the book ships, in order to make sure the people who bought the book get their hands on the story first.
There are a couple other irons in the fire this month that are taking some of our attention behind the scenes, but we can't quite talk about them yet. All in due time, they are shaping up to be Very CoolTM.

Speaking of videos on the channel, that is our Main Job after all, and we've got a sneak preview of the next batch. For Trope Talks, Red has a timely video on Elemental Magic Systems dropping Jul 25, right before book-o'clock. Detail Diatribes will include a roadmap to finding the Best Episodes of Love Death and Robots plus one on Why You Should Read The Last Unicorn, and I'll have a title-TBD DD on the sacred architecture and world design of The Pathless and Abzu - a snappier title will appear to me like divine light. For history, I've got a look into Greek Colonization and Magna Graecia, aka "Greece... TWO". The rest of our summer video slate has yet to be locked down as firmly as we usually prefer.

One fun event on the docket is a big summer charity stream on Sunday July 27th, we'll be playing more Skyrim with a rotating group of guests. Red has also been eyeing a fresh-file Hades stream in advance of the Hades II release, but one timesink at a time.

In July we'll have the vembis lion as a pin (Exciting).
