It has a both a great male and female main character, each their own person and very interesting and fun with different styles, shinobi and samurai. It sticks to what it is and not add a bunch of rpg elements into the game. The landscape and architecture of Japan is breathtaking and I honestly didn’t mind the horse travel. Also I played the entire main story and never dealt with the present day stuff at all. I am saying this as someone who played AC odyssey as well.
