The past few days, what with the way world events have been my creativity plummetted and I was strugglin to do commissions...so instead my brain decided to hyper focus on this Found page so its kinda better than it probably should be. which now makes it stick out because its probably a bit too good for my comic and the subsequent pages are unlikely to look similar...anyway...have what it looked like before

The story is so good (and this is about my 5th rereading it) that I had to pay mind to compare your then and now styles. I do love the redraw of the page, and your art in general, and yes for a comic you needn't go over the top for each panel, but your intro says it all: you threw yourself heart and soul into this page, and if that was a vacation for your brain more power to you.
