Hey friends, thanks for your amazing participation in the vote—the results are clear: our new twin sisters will be a Western + Eastern combo!
To celebrate, I've created artwork for their outfits across different tiers. I'm planning a magic and dance fusion for them, and I believe they'll deliver some truly spectacular moments in the game!
While we're at it, let me share some thoughts on M·Arena. I've been working on this game for 7 months now, and it's by far the project I've poured the most heart and soul into.
After finishing my last battle game (Tower), I really wanted to dive back into combat-style gameplay, which led to M·Arena. But I aimed to make it richer and more polished, so I added tons of features to boost replayability (though I know there are still some rough edges).
One common feedback I've heard is that the game feels tough, even near max level... That's intentional! Traditional battle games rely heavily on grinding levels and gear for huge power spikes, but I wanted something different. So I toned down attribute gains from leveling and base gear stats (while keeping special effects as highlights). Upgrading now focuses on earning SP points to learn diverse skills—I've set up three distinct skill trees so you can choose your playstyle.
Things like equipment sets, reinforcements, and refining aren't just about raw ATK or DEF boosts anymore. They offer tons of paths: high crit chance, extreme evasion, or whatever fits your vibe...
Of course, the balance isn't perfect yet—I'll do a full optimization once all character battles are complete.
I get that many of you are here primarily for the artwork, and that's totally valid for an adult game. But my goal is to create something that satisfies those cravings while keeping you hooked for more gameplay afterward. I'm far from there, but with just over a year of game dev under my belt, I have plenty of time to learn and refine.
A huge thank you to everyone who's supported me along the way. Even with some doubts about my approach, I'm committed to evolving—not just the content and mechanics, but the overall direction.
Looking ahead, I plan to wrap up my current two games (City and Arena) by early next year, then dive into new projects. Expect some big changes (I'll keep you posted)—I've got ideas for suspense mysteries, wuxia, apocalypse themes, and more, with a heavy focus on elevating gameplay.
Thanks for your support... and for listening to my ramblings. Wishing you all a great life!
(PS: Sometimes my mood isn't great from being cooped up working on these games—if I say something off, I'm truly sorry.)
