Onto the technical details!
Giant Spyro is by far my largest and most complex project to date. The plush measures roughly 30” from the ground to the top of his head, or 40” including the horns, and 50” long from the tip of his tail to his nose. At approximately 15lbs he’s by far the heaviest plush I’ve made. His feet, legs and neck have high density foam support inside them to deal with the weight.
He is made with regular minky (purple parts) and printed minky (yellow/orange parts). His wings are wired and can be posed. The head is entirely machine sewn (except for the eyebrows) and the smile/nose shape was achieved with thread sculpting. The purple scales are applique done with an embroidery machine and took nearly 30 hours and 32 hoopings to complete. The entire plush took over 200 hours to create.
HE IS SOLD. I haven't decided if I'll make more yet mainly due to the insanely high price point for this plush.
