patreon sale taxes
Added 2020-06-24 18:30:37 +0000 UTCSo, as I'm sure some of you have already heard from other content creators, Patreon is going to start charging sale taxes on pledges starting in July and instead of handling the announcement themselves they've decided to throw creators under the bus and have us tell users about this change to the platform we're using. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Patreon has a long FAQ about this change here https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043054911-New-Sales-Tax-Requirements-effective-July-1st-2020 .
I've done my best to reduce the taxes on my tiers as much as possible, I just didn't want anyone to be caught by surprise by it!
