Vrithika, on an impulse of your comment I have just watched Maine Pyaar Kiya. I completely agree with you. Still enjoyable old-school love story with Salman at his charming best. I won't even complain about his dialogue delivery:-) because it was ok, not even close to "hey dude" level.

For me personally Korbin I love Dabangg but the 2009/2010 era had the action salman only, He did some good movies in my opinion like the 2000 movie Kahain Pyaar Na Ho Jaye which had Rani and Jackie Shroff. translation (Beware, you might fall in love) and Tere Naam (Your Name) where he did showcase his talent as an actor, Fun fact while watching your watch along I ended up ordering this movie for my sealed collection π

Could you react to Juhi's singing? This is from a 2004 awards show, and Juhi is a trained classical singer.
Yea I def agree that I enjoy 90's Salman movies are enjoyable. I love Hum Appke Hain Kaun and Maine Pyaar Kiya.

I agree with you on like 80%. There are good ones though. But I'm not angry that someone doesn't like his entire filmography

Lol. Please don't watch his movies. I feel bad for you both. There is not even a single movie that is good. Salman khan fans- don't attack me in comments.

I can watch Salman Khan in the 90s movies, quite good with his screen charm untill he speaks. Then the charm is gone. He could be an actor for silent cinema.
The only time I thought that the director had a good concept for Salman was Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (but only in the first part).
Any attempt to watch Salman's later movies failed for me so I stopped trying.

Completely get your point. I don't see the appeal as well and I am glad for the honest reaction. There are so many amazing and fun films that we would love to see your reaction on, hopefully next ones will be a better experience. Try Munnabhai MBBS for comedy next or Wake Up Sid which stars Ranbeer Kapoor. Masala movies are highly entertaining when done right - like RRR. So for next masala movie Om Shanti Om would be a really fun experience and it's Deepika's Bollywood debut. If you want a genuinely good masala action movie go for Singham! It has Ajay Devgan in the lead and it would be a fun experience.

Guys hear me out! There are certain things which are extremely regionalal and not made for audiences from outside that region. Happens with food, art, music and so does with MOVIES. Salman Khan is a MEGA bollywood star. The people who like him are usually from small towns, not very well off or well travelled. For them what he is on screen is what they aspire to be all their lives. A larger than life HERO who can beat up everyone, get the prettiest girl and do his weird dance with all the confidence in the world.
Its hard to explain why he is loved by so many. But do yourselves a favor, skip his masala movies. Those arenβt meant for you.
Also, I donβt know why I feel this so much but sometimes Rick is just so out of it or uninterested that it brings down the entire energy of the videos. Maybe for certain things, Korbin can react with someone else. Would love to see a fresher perspective to be honest. No hate to Rick here but you donβt have to sit through something which makes you so miserable.
