The book has a bunch of spells. Stolas just has some of the more useful ones memorized. but he needs it for complex things like the harvest moon festival.

2024-02-14 22:05:20 +0000 UTCRight on the money with the second one! Stolas was able to possess Two and the corpses to create a summoning circle and conduit to get him to earth without the book. Also the spell to access earth appears to be one that can be memorized, so opening the portal back to Hell was nothing to Stolas now that the book was in proximity to actually make it work. Also, important side note; *Stolas* doesn’t need the book to get to earth necessarily, his job is searching for prophecy in the stars and eternally seeking knowledge. IMP needs the book to get to earth because they’ve got no other way but that’s literally all they use the grimoire for 😂

2024-02-13 22:28:15 +0000 UTCI fucking love this episode so much because of the trip—like Moxxie’s is obviously Phantom of the Opera because he’s a thespian, and his issues are more….garden variety? Like they’re just as bad to him, he struggles with confidence and letting people in, so his experience is like the disney-esque, settled a lot simpler and cleaner and sweeter. And then Blitzø does his one man reenactment of Pink Floyd’s The Wall. 😂 Seriously if you’ve never seen it at least watch ‘the Trial’ on youtube, it’ll make a fucking banger reaction and make you look back at Blitzø’s nightmare like “oh yeah no okay I see exactly what they were doing” lmao

2024-02-13 20:23:18 +0000 UTCI don't know for certain, but I think there's 2 parts as to why Stolas could go to earth without the book. 1: the book was there, the book is his, he's connected to it in some way or another. 2: he possessed some of the bodies and they drew a symbol on the ground, around the woman he was talking through, in which he could be fully channeled to earth. And I think he was able to open that portal straight back to hell because the book was in his proximity.
