Good ol pure hearted Gimli. Gotta love him! Funny thing is out of nowhere like the day after I recorded this reaction a youtube short popped up talking about how Viggo deflected that knife. It said the guy that played the Uruk-hai who threw it had his aim thrown off by all the makeup and armor he was wearing. Viggo was Aragorn in real life!

2024-02-15 23:21:03 +0000 UTCGaladriel's gift to Gimli is more important than he knows, her uncle asked three times for locks of her hair to make jewelry but Galadriel refused because he was prideful about using it in his jewelry, but Gimli was pure of heart and that's why she gave him the hairs. 3:08:00 Frodo pulled the ring loose during the Boromir fight, so he could wear the ring. 3:14:00 Boromir left his shield back in camp so he could carry firewood. 3:16:00 Viggo really deflected a real knife in that shot.
