There are times when Rimuru states his intentions and purpose. We are at the point where it's starting to take shape, although not yet in its final form...... And speaking of intentions and purposes, it is too early to have a clear idea of what a Demon Lord is, what their role in the world is, and how their individual personalities affect actions. ......... Naming affects Rimuru's strength in a positive way as well as in the long run.

2024-06-20 22:06:33 +0000 UTCI often see people say they'd like to see Rimuru get rid of characters who are annoying enemies, but the thing with Rimuru is that keeping them alive is often more in line with his goals. Especially when Rimuru isn't coming out and explicitly announcing his intentions. ......... To me every interesting revelation counts as action.

2024-06-20 21:55:29 +0000 UTCThis is absolutely one of those shows where it just gets better and better over time. Season 2 especially is awesome, and Season 3 so far has been great too. I often see complaints in comment sections of reactions about how there's so much talking and stuff in the anime, and some episodes don't have any action at all, but to me it's what makes it good, because Rimuru isn't looking for fights, just for a way for everyone to live peacefully. One comparison that I've seen was "Overlord, if everyone in Nazarick were pacifists".

They are rubber ducks, but slimes instead. 🥰 You two are right, there really wasn't any better outcome than Milim becoming BFFs with Rimuru. He has the good fortune of being able to read people and understands that while she is capable of being a serious threat she is easy to please and generally good natured. You are also correct about what Rimuru wants. He doesn't particularly want power. He just wants to relax, for his people to be happy, and for other people to stop f*ing with his peace. Yes, agreed about Overlord being comparable, but at the same time almost the opposite goal. Isekai be weird like that. 😅
