And really who can argue about the wisdom manga and anime gifts upon us? Lol Shion's gift being Master Chef is as hilarious as it is dangerously useful. Whatever part of Rimuru that affected who got what gift knew without question that Shion could not be trusted to ever produce anything edible. However, the gift also then allows for ANYTHING she cooks to taste delicious. Meaning they could have her create poisons that no one would ever be able to tell is harmful if they strained out the junk and just used the broth. 😬 As others have said, Rimuru's aura is all Rimuru. Veldora did not affect it by being in his stomach. Him naming him might have gave a bit of a boost, but Rimuru came into this world pretty powerful on his own. As a final thought these intro and outro songs are my favorite of all the seasons! They are really powerful paired together. You skipped the outro but I recommend going back and watching it. There are definitely a couple scenes I know you guys would enjoy. Same goes for the final episode of this season. It's the same song but different images. Anyhoo, FABULOUS reaction as always! Some people would consider some of what I’m about to say a bit spoiler-y, but they don’t really explain it in the anime. Rimuru’s aura is Rimuru’s aura from the beginning. Yeah, it was strong, but, compared to everyone he either accidentally or deliberately showed it off to, he is/was much stronger. Even just after he left the cave, he was stronger, especially compared to the low level monsters he encountered first, like the goblins. Later, he learned how to conceal it particularly when wearing the mask, so he could visit human lands. Here’s the spoiler-y part. (this and the next paragraph) Rimuru’s Stomach, was and is another dimension. It got bigger as time went along, and it got better after he absorbed Geld’s powers, but aura leaking out is impossible in that it’s not a physical or magical barrier that prevents it from doing so. True, Veldora is surrounded by the Unlimited Imprisonment barrier or seal, but his aura was able to leak out from that. That’s why so many strong monsters, including Rimuru, could be born in the cave; why everyone knew Veldora was in there and when he disappeared; and why everyone stayed away from the cave, and the local goblins were being protected by him; and why the loss of the magicules would mean he would eventually “die”. That’s another story in itself. Btw, Veldora needed to control his aura because it’s so strong most cannot withstand it. The thing is, with the mediation of Great Sage, Rimuru, during his naming sprees, “borrowed” Veldora’s magicules. It has been mentioned once or twice that naming can be dangerous. That’s because it’s possible to deplete your magicules to the point of them not being fully recoverable. That’s why no one goes around naming willy nilly, especially of stronger monsters. Great Sage therefore reached into Veldora’s profoundly deep reserves to make up for the recklessness at times. Great Sage also learned to be able to control the amount of necessary magicules for the degree of evolution she wanted (going off of Rimuru’s subconscious wishes, of course), and no further. Rimuru didn’t know this, until Veldora complained that Rimuru had been stealing his magicules. The Soul Corridor is a strong connection. For one thing, you can’t lie when you communicate using it. It’s because it’s not just surface thoughts. Luckily, it’s not on all the time for this purpose. This Soul Corridor has an important purpose here, especially in the context of the Ultimate Skill Veldora. Besides giving Rimuru access to some of Veldora’s natural skills related to Storms, the Skill includes the functions Summon Storm Dragon and Restore Storm Dragon. (Note: Rimuru finally has access to Veldora’s Skills after the seal was broken, though not completely. Not everyone can be a force of nature such as the Storm Dragon.) Summon Storm Dragon calls forth Veldora in dragon form, once he fully recovered. What happens is that he disappears from the spot he was in and reappears where Rimuru summons him to. Restore Storm Dragon copies Veldora’s memories into Rimuru’s mind: meaning, if Veldora dies, Rimuru can replace him. What it means is that the “true” Veldora resides in Rimuru’s soul. This is regardless of time or space. In a sense, the one weakness that Veldora had before, that when he “died”, he would return eventually, but without his memories, would be eliminated. As long as Rimuru lived, Veldora’s memories would too. It’s the true benefit of the Soul Corridor. The Soul Corridor enabled Veldora's spiritual and astral bodies to regenerate fully as a spiritual being within moments, and that was when Veldora reshaped the replication Rimuru had given him. Last episode you wanted to know how long it’s been. It has been two years since Rimuru came to this world. Ultimate Skill Uriel, Lord of Vows, has four major functions, but it serves to consolidate all the Skills that Rimuru’s people had newly received as part of the Harvest Festival gift process, which, in turn are accessible via Beelzebub’s subskill Food Chain. Raphael has a subskill herself called Ability Adjust, which enables her to optimize Rimuru’s Skills. Using Unlimited Imprisonment as a basis, she threw all those skills that were useful to Rimuru in Uriel, after said optimization. One other topic is that of Shion’s Unique Skill Master Chef. For now, let's just say that there are other uses to it besides cooking.
