I just realized that I made it sound like the naming had nothing to do with the power sharing. It is actually the basis of the Food Chain. I just wanted to make clear that the connections created due to naming are just the material that the Skills work with.

Rimuru learned a lot about souls when he was sitting in front of Shion’s body in mourning. During that time, he tried, with Raphael’s help, of course, to look for ways to bring Shion back, body and soul. Also, they mention Beretta, who placed her soul in the homunculus’ body back in season 1. A Chaos Core is another term for soul or heart used to refer to monsters in particular. Chaos means a thing with a balance of Holy and Demonic energy. Treyni, as a spirit, leans towards the holy side, while demonic is represented by Rimuru. It doesn’t mean demon. All monsters and majin are of the demonic nature. I think, I could be wrong, I have to check to be certain, but demonic means that it is something primarily dependent on magicules to survive. Finally, the process of adding both holy and demonic energy to Treyni’s core was a delicate balancing act to get the energies to be equal. Rimuru’s power is partly a response to him having named so many people. It is indeed true that people avoid naming because it is a drain on their power, which might be unrecoverable if they go too far, which is more likely if they try to name a more powerful monster. It’s possible that the ongoing drain of having named a multitude of monsters is also a consideration. I don’t know for sure about that one. I thought that mostly the power sharing is a consequence of Beelzebub and Raphael’s skill (and to a lesser extent, their less-evolved versions). All of the skills Rimuru’s subordinates have are accessible to Rimuru, and Rimuru can give his subordinates access to certain of his. This is limited to compatibility and usefulness. This basically is a function of Beelzebub’s Food Chain. Benimaru learned Black Flame, Souei learned Body Double and the thread abilities, Ranga learned Black Lightning, etc. Each of them had an affinity for these Skills beforehand. In Rimuru’s case, Raphael’s Skill Ability Adjust allowed her to reorganize Rimuru’s subordinates Skills into forms more efficient and useful for Rimuru, and she discarded the ones that were not useful. Also, Rimuru isn’t actually capable of using some of these Skills, no matter what. For example, Souei can get more out of Body Double than Rimuru can. Also there is a general power-sharing between them in a kind of positive feedback loop. Rimuru doesn’t usually need this, but it has contributed to the overall growth of the soul lineage of which he is the top (but don’t let’s forget, Veldora named Rimuru, which is indicated in Rimuru’s status in the category of Protection as Crest of the Storm, which was passed on to Rimuru’s soul lineage as well. Shuna is actually Benimaru’s superior in the ogre hierarchy. As a Holy Princess, she mediates with the gods. Her skill even prior to Rimuru’s becoming a Demon Lord was already demonstrated when she canceled and analyzed Kirara’s Bewilder Unique Skill. Her abilities are related to magic and spell creation and analysis. Remember Rimuru had resistance to physical (melee, stab) attack since the very beginning, and that ability is only stronger now. Also, Rimuru needed access to the information, at least, about human physiology and anatomy to begin to be able to taste things as a human can, and I imagine that extends to other things humans do as well. Gobta has luck, not officially, I don’t think, but that’s a lot of it. Not to denigrate his hard work and determination. Going beyond your post. Benimaru’s Skill Born Leader has several aspects that include being able to read the flow of energies on the battlefield, being able to Thought Communicate with the army members, giving I think it’s about a 30% buff to the entire army, and to inspire them.

Sometimes the item is called a khakkhara (sounding staff). 20:30 well if it was an upper snake body, could it speak or only hiss?

2025-01-02 18:06:47 +0000 UTCJohn I have spectacular news for you, the Masters of the Universe media does indeed have many Snakemen with snake uppers and human lower bodies! They are just as creepy as Chris suspected they'd be. 😂 Anyhoo, onto Slime: 1. The puppet body that Rimuru made for Treyni was made from the wood of her actual tree. Dryads are actual forest spirits in Tensura. Their bodies are trees. What we normally see is a personification of their spirits, hence the constant glowing and why they can't leave the forest. Rimuru rigged it so that Treyni could move about to her hearts content. Something that I believe gets explored more in The Slime Diaries. At least I believe it takes place after season 2. 2. Everyone that Rimuru has named gets a boost EVERYTIME he levels up. It's part of being connected to the people you name, and why most people don't name many others. They don't want to risk being drained or share their power. Rimuru however as we've seen barely even registers that it's happening at all. He never thinks twice about it. Every ability his people level up to he has in some form, that's where they get it from. Rimuru is mostly unaware of it because Raphael organizes his abilities for him automatically. Which is why he is always surprised when she pops in to tell him he can do something. If my brain organized everything for me without me having to think about it I'd be fairly surprised often too. 😅 3. Shuna's abilities, well without spoiling her official title is Holy Princess. We've seen many other people claim holy magic, including the scary lady, Hinata, that almost killed Rimuru. Just a thought for you. 🤔 4. He's a slime. Even when he looks like something else, it is completely comprised of slime. So no blood. At most if he got stabbed he probably look at them exasperated... before he used Belzebub to consume them.😂 5. Gobta probably could have taken that guy, he constantly underestimates his abilities. Although he demonstrated that he also has an amazing sense of self preservation. 😆 I always feel like the difference between him and the others is he wasn't raised a warrior, so the mentality doesn't come naturally. Also he has no problem admitting, at least to himself, that it's possible he could loose a fight. That's all the notes I have. Anything else I might tread into spoiler territory. I'm so happy you guys are enjoying this show. Its structure can be hard for shoen anime fans to adapt to. Since Tensura is about world building at its infancy it includes a lot more downtime dialouge and background characters than other action anime.
