As you might have guessed, Vicious is what amounts to a big bad for the series. When he shows up, you just know things are getting serious and bodies are probably about to start hitting the floor. He just exudes, well, viciousness even without saying anything. Pity he lost that in the Live Action Cowboy Bebop series (at least in my opinion). Also, the woman in the flashback is very important to Spike’s backstory, so burn her into your memory.
