RIMURU MAKING BIG WAVES!! | That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime - Episode 2 | Season 3

Hinata let Rimuru escape in the sense that she failed to kill him not in the sense that she spared him. She was truly trying to kill him.

Rimuru has a lot of secrets Yuuki actually know very little about him and RImuru's ascendance to a True Demon Lord is known to only a few at this moment.

Very interested in seeing this Lightspeed character haha! Also I wanna know more about the angels. Feel like we are gonna figure out sometime soon. Really enjoying the world building of this season so far.

This season is a lot harder to explain than previous seasons. I think I would pay attention to the state of the world at this point in the story. Then you will be able to compare it to the state of the world at the end of the season. I think that is the real plot of the season as a whole. Rimuru actually sent Shuna and her party to Clayman’s castle as an afterthought, contrary to what Kagali/Kazalim was saying at the beginning of the episode. We got part of Hinata’s backstory in this episode. Why did she leave Shizu? Because she feared she would let Shizu take care of her too much, and she wouldn’t be able to stand on her own. We already know From Season 2 Part 1 that Hinata’s Skills are stealing others’ Skills, and predicting others' moves in battle. That is related to her personality. More later. We see that Hinata submits to Luminus because of Luminus’ strength. Hinata discovers she isn’t always right, and that justice can’t be perfect in a society unless you sacrifice some freedom. There’s a balance. Hinata thinks this society is close to a utopia because people are happy. But the question is, why are the vampires maintaining this society? Is it just to get happy people to take blood from? There might be more to this. What is the Church’s goal overall? They are worried about Veldora, the angels, and maintaining their Church. They don’t understand why Veldora is not rampaging, and view him as a particular threat because Veldora attacked them before. Notice Luminus blames everything that went wrong at Walpurgis on Veldora. The angels are a potential threat, and they seem to think that Rimuru’s city and roads will draw the attention of the angels, perhaps accelerating the “next Tenma War”. They worry that with Roy gone, the lack of the figurehead evil Demon Lord they were supporting, will cause a lapse in their followers' belief. More on this later. “Lightspeed” Masayuki, the Hero who defeats his opponents before they know what is happening. Lol. Remember the King is now Diablo’s servant. I could have sworn they skipped a line. When the second messenger burst into the room, I thought he said he bore a message from the guild. It was supposed to be that the Octagram communicated with the guild to disseminate the message of the establishment of the Octagram, and so forth.

In response to what you said about Yuuki, I don't know what you are saying when you say "he" really doesn't care about any of "them". Are you talking about Yuuki? My theory about Yuuki's relationship with Rimuru is that Yuuki has a goal, and he isn't going to give it up just because he gets along with someone. If Rimuru is in the way, then he has to do something. Also, you can see that Yuuki has a bit of a vindictive streak (not that Rimuru is the turn-the-other-cheek type either). Yuuki doesn't have much contact with the Demon Lords, and he doesn't know everything about them. He doesn't even know much about the Church. He's gotten to the point in his plans where he thinks the Church will be his next obstacle. The Church has a lot of power and influence over the Western Nations (the majority of the human nations, located West of Dwargon, East of Lubelius, and Northwest of Jura).

There are a couple other reasons I can think of for your two to ponder as for why Yuki is acting the way he is even though he's worked with Rimuru personally: First, Rimuru has been careful while interacting with him. If you go back you'll see that he never uses his full powers in front of Yuki and sidesteps his questions. So Yuki isn't as much 'in the know' as he thinks he is. The other reason I can think of is far simpler: maybe he just doesn't care about any of them. He doesn't exactly radiate empathetic vibes. 😂 _ I would lean towards Chris' assessment of the Demon Lords. They aren't deities, but close enough for the rest of the world. For the most part you can consider them chaotic neutral until one of them gets interested in a situation or shit has well and truly hit the fan. _ Hinata wasn't saying she let Rimuru go. She was more expressing her disgust that she didn't finish the job, and thought she had won. She's not used to loosing, especially to a creature she assumed was inferior. _ So yeah, once again you're seeing the world at large and Rimuru's effect on other factions. This season, after the first half, is really about Tempest and how it's making waves by thriving. Still SUPER fun, but not as battle heavy. More SPYGAME heavy though, so definitely pay attention to the people trying to lay traps, and pulling strings, because Rimuru had his fill of that with Clayman. Rimuru's ability to lead such a diverse nation and make strategic allies are about to set up for a CRAZY season 4. It becomes once again a matter of 'careful what you wish for' John, because I sure as hell wouldn't want to be on an opposing side of Rimuru's ideology. Sounds... unpleasant. 😬 _ Loved it all guys, excited for the next drop! 🩷💛🩵
