I used to read her web comic and have seen a couple interviews, but I try to stay out of anything new so the show is fresh when I watch it. Any chance of a theory crafting stream or discussion thread?

2025-02-09 22:46:24 +0000 UTCI've personally never bought into the Lucifer is Cain's father theory. I've always seen him and Abel as the duality of humanity. It's possible for good and evil to sprout from anywhere, and the choices we all make affect everyone not just ourselves. Adam and Eve's choice to eat the apple (pomegranate in original text I believe) result in their children never being able to enter the Garden of Paradise on earth. The knowlege of the garden and that they are shut off from it affects the children's choices. Able more or less 'sucked up' (for lack of a better term) to God by giving him the best of everything he had. Cain, working extremely hard for his crops feared having even more taken from him, so he gave God what he could after he allotted them. It's also worth noting that while he praised God, he also didn't see God as a benevolent saviour so much as one of the reasons his life was so difficult. Both grew up in the same circumstances and both choose wildly different paths. So I'm hoping they don't go down the Cain is just evil because of Lucifer route. Frankly I find it a shit cop out and lazy storytelling. 🫤 Interesting lore theory video guys! 🩷💛🩵
