I moved to UK 20 years ago and also know many people who have migrated and visit India often and never have these issues. Also it is true that there are no stray dogs in UK. Are there stray dogs in US?

2023-08-23 21:30:21 +0000 UTCAh, poor Rick... the gut microbiome is no joke - you can fall mentally (yep) and physically sick ... that too long term... if you mess with bacteria in the food. Including several inflammation induced cancers later on in life. Street food is a no no until you've been in the country for a while, even then it's best to take it slow. Also, one of the biggest reasons for gut issues is that Indian food has more fibre than western food in general. And guess what - some of the dormant bacteria love fibre and overbreed. Quite simple - don't increase fibre content so quickly. Pro tip: Take probiotics starting two weeks before your trip and keep it going for a month after you're back.

2023-08-23 16:16:21 +0000 UTCRelated to Tips.. it is actually a thing... many hotels and restaurants in touristy places will not treat Indians with respect and only appreciate Foreigners in their places because of the tip. Also some places are there where only forigners are preferred because they charge insane amount from them and cannot be afforded by middle class indians.. The tip you give cannot be afforded by us and so they only serve foreigners and also rip them. So it hurts us as Indians when they give huge tip outside the range and because of that we are not treated by them in the same way.

2023-08-23 10:56:39 +0000 UTCTBH, I havent .. may be amongst student community who just traveled for studying and went back :D wannabes :D We have been always called out for noticing everything new and missing the city the way it was.. the infrastructure development seems crazy in India to us.. not remembering how to watch out while crossing a road, How we get overwhelmed by the crowd when we are part of it.. the craze for Indian food and the nostalgia the inflation hitting us heard.. Everything seems so expensive .. we remember rates from our times... Shopping like crazy because duh.. who wouldnt ! And ya lot of cultural shocks !! Believe it or not..
