This whole Nepotism thing is such a nonsense. Doesnt each one of us practise nepotism in our day to day life? Dont we inherit our family business even when we know nothing abt it? Why don't we ask the most talented n skillful person in the organization to lead the family business instead? Don't we refer our friends and family members, if we come to know about an important project? Isn't that nepotism? Nepotism exists in almost each and every field, then why single out Bollywood. Each and every person faces and practices Nepotism. If you are an outsider in any industry(and not just bollywood) your struggle will be more than the ones who are part of the system. An outsider in Bollywood might be an insider in some other field, where he would get an advantage over others. Each one of us would trust n give more chances to people whom we know and who are close to us. That's the reality of life. I find this whole Nepotism debate so stupid. But as they say 'common sense is not so common.'
