The only relation is license plate number on Toyota Scorpio which Fafa owns... this was the license plate number which Anamika guesses in Romancham, It was speculated the role done by Chemban Vinod in Romancham - character spinoff would be done but with Fafa as lead actor. Consider not related -- per the director himselves.

Same with rom-com's, and now with Premalu that's also made a comeback.

2024-05-20 07:45:49 +0000 UTCSPOILER: If you pay close attention at 2:24:21, you'll see the two Hindi guys are still alive (who were supposedly taken to the bathroom to be killed for leaving the gang). Such a nice little detailed foreshadowing or clue, that Ranga probably forgave them or never really intended to kill em, and was just scarin' em, when in reality he cares a lot about all his boys.

Merry Christmas, Laapataa ladies, Teri Baaton Mein, Srikanth, Crew to name a few good ones

Then much later in an interview he denied any obvious connections

I was so invested in it I was tensed just imagining the uproar they would face and I think it was a nice way to show just how chaotic their lives had been around Ranga. Loved this film and have no issues with it at all. I saw it 6 times in the theater, brought 3 different non Indian friends and they all LOVED it.

I took 3 different non desi's to Aavesham and they all said 'I want that shirt" just like Rick did. The film makers should get some money back on stuff like that. (I literally found (stole) some fan art and made a t-shirt and a mug for us. Japanese Telugu film fans make stuff and sell it all the time. I am guessing the film makers don't get a cut of that either.

2024-05-19 17:33:38 +0000 UTCSuch a fun watchalong. Loved it. I agree that those 15 mins when they run away does drop the pacing quite drastically and pulled me out. But unlike Rick, the final act pulled me right back in. Upon my second and third watches, I appreciated those 15 mins more. They feel slowed down because of how frantic and fast paced the entire film was before. And because we have that drop in pacing, it makes the final fight even more satisfying. This one's easily my favourite of the year. Such a banging soundtrack.

2024-05-19 05:49:19 +0000 UTCThat was fun! to watch the most unhinged Fafa again, with you! The theater experience of this film was such a blast. A full room of Fafa fans howling at every antic. Korbin, dont know if you noticed but the caller tune on Bibi's phone when his mother calls, is the background music of the mother scenes in KGF. I thought it was a hilarious tribute to that in this film. And not sure if you both noticed how Fafa always refers to the boys as 'Eda Mowne!' (dear boy) that has now gone viral.
