Not sure if it was my intolerance of hot weather or my dislike of deserts that accounted for it but it was a horrible experience for me. Ran away at the first instance 😆

2024-07-10 23:42:53 +0000 UTCI lived in Dubai for 7 years easily the best time in my life outside India. I find myself missing Dubai every now and then especially for comfort, and safety! Jumeirah was home for such long time! I could get almost everything in Dubai that I could have have in Chennai! They even had fruit shop on Greams road ppl from chennai would know abt this happy place! And ofcourse simrans appa kadai and best aryas, a2b and saravana bhavan! haha i hv been home to Chennai just for a weekend which i cant even dream of here in North Carolina!

There's an amazing culturally rich side of Dubai that very few actually see. Social media, influencers and films mostly boast the flashy side of this city but that is all very recent. Barely 15 years. There's a lot more that this amazing city and the UAE as a whole has to offer. And yes Mumbai is only a 2.5 hour flight from here. Look forward to hosting you guys if you ever decide to visit. Huge Indian community here.
