2024-08-11 08:35:46 +0000 UTCIMO Korbin pretty much summarized the reason why it didn't work as well as Andhadhun becuz most of the audience went in with the expectation of watching another Andhadhun. I for one like the movie when I watched it first time. Rewatching with you guys made me love it.

Albert Pinto ko gussa kyon aata hain" Subtitles read "why is Albert Pinto angry " Rick is like " how does he know his last name ?? I am telling ya she and Ronnie are framing him for Radhika's murder" I was laughing 😆 Korbin/Rick - "Albert Pinto ko gussa kyon aata hain " is a famous Naseeruddeen Shah movie .. many know it coz its played a lot in game of charades...

I saw the two goldfish being left alive in the toilet cistern as emblematic of Albert and Maria now being trapped in this situation together and water slowly filling up as them having a second chance at life together. The entire final police station scene is what cinema is all about 👌👌👌

A 1962 french film called La Monte Charge or Paris Pick-Up. I haven't seen it yet but according to Suchitra Tyagi- an Indian film critic- the french adaptation was better. I wonder if Sriram Ragvan is ever going to make this style of film again or if he's going to stick with more fast paced style of films like Andhadhun. I do hope he does this style of film again, but I wouldn't blame him if he sticks to the latter.

2024-08-10 10:16:39 +0000 UTCI am glad you liked this movie, I was very satisfied after the theatrical watch only to hear mixed reviews The 1 major thing, either you missed, or just didn't talk about it was...Albert tells the little girl a story when he finds her scared in the room, about how a bird finding her kidnapped mother. At the end of the story, he says that one day a magician will say "Abracadabra" and she will het her voice back. The climax plays out in a similar way, and when the police gives her the "caged bird" and says "Abracadabra", she gets her voice back.

2024-08-10 09:59:31 +0000 UTCWhen I watched this film, I kept waiting for the high point, something exciting to happen but it didn't. I prefer Andhadhun type films which have way more unexpected twists and keep you engaged because you don't know what's next and can't guess the ending.

But I could also see how you could get disappointed if you went in expecting a fast paced thriller like Andhadhun, and getting more of a mystery romance. definitely in my top 5 of the year.
