Stree 2 MOVIE REVIEW!!!

SPOILERS!! Just watched it on OTT. In my opinion, Stree 2 didn't match up to the first one in terms of being a mystery. The comedy was mostly OK most of the time and now I am left with some questions with the plot. Questions like - How did Bhediya get into the other world? - What was Shraddha's motivation for taking the braid for herself? which was pointless as Stree still exists as Stree. - Is Munjya going to come back just because Varun Dhawan wears an underwear named Munni? lol. I tried googling these answers but couldn't find an explanation, maybe someone here can explain :P Although Stree 1 is much more enjoyable and I already saw it three times. Stree 2 became something else altogether when they tried to add a superhero fight, I felt that was unnecessary and made it bad overall. CGI for ghost Stree was bad on purpose for the first movie, which made it funny for the world they brought us in. Now they all trying to look good and failing at looking good, if that makes sense. Shraddha's disappearing act is not a mystery anymore. So long story short Stree 2 for me was an OK expansion to the first movie. I guess they will do better in a sequel if any.

Spoilers ‼️ watched Stree 2 yesterday at Regal -Simi Valley .. Chaava teaser jumpscared the hell out of me.. something was so off about the speakers.. it was ear bleeding loud .. 😖 Stree 2 - I kind of agree with R and K. While Rajkumar Rao was still funny through his acting and Abhishek Banerjee generated a few laughs.. the lines for Pankaj Tripathi were very poor.. And Aparshakti Khurrana irritated me coz the guy was given the same lines .. his script was not even half page worth The cameo portion did make me laugh.. But yeah it was unnecessarily loud many times especially during the final sequence.. And two end credits songs 🙄 i was waiting for the lights to turn on.. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I highly recommend not to base your decision on OSR reviews only. They have lost many things in translation. If you know Hindi you will enjoy the jokes more. Give it a thought

My friends ended up taking me. I really enjoyed it tbh. But I totally get why Korbin and Rick didn't like it. Cause all the jokes are local to Indians. But ya a fun movie.

Please don’t base your tickets on one review. Go and watch the film if you really liked Stree1. Stree 2’s humour is language based, small jokes that could be missed in translation. You are missing out on a very entertaining experience!

Stree is one of my favourite films which I keep rewatching but unfortunately I couldn’t like Stree 2. I was heartbroken. What I have observed so far ..Horror comedy is our favourite genre. People love it because they can watch it with entire family and enjoy together. Not disrespecting anyone but may be we all have our own choices/bias towards the type of movies we like. I don’t always enjoy the popular comedy films. For me this scenario was exactly like Bhool bhulaiya franchise. Absolutely loved the 1st one even though it was a remake. But 2nd one fell flat. It was a blockbuster no doubt. I could only watch it because of Tabu.

Its okay if you guys didn’t like. My only issue in the video was Rick’s remark on the box office. When you guys say that its okay we have different opinion then it applies to you too. The fact we enjoyed stree 2 so much and Rick says only because ‘its doing good on box office ‘ hurts as a cinema fan. I saw my family laughing in the theatre after so much time and my entire theatre too. Doesn’t mean we like it because its doing good at box office. This happened with JAWAN too. You guys didnt like, i was sad but understood that some things work different for everyone. But when rick started sharing stories on instagram of selective negative reviews and wrote the caption “finally someone with cinema logic who doesn’t enjoy movies because of box office verdict “ i get angry. I’ve never had a problem with korbin, he even says most of the times that maybe we didn’t enjoy it . But rick most of the times throw remarks like these. :(

Oh boy, I can just imagine the pain you guys are feeling. A film that you have been anticipated and excited for years and then to be disappointed of the film 💔 I’m gonna watch Stree 2 regardless (on OTT), and see if we have the same opinion or not

I watched Stree 2! It's the most entertaining film of the year! Truly enjoyed the cast together, really funny dialogues. Loved how they finally connected the franchise. Abhishek Banerjee - I'm a fan. I really got excited then the cameos came and loved the climax twists. Just one con: The vfx was not up to the mark. They should hire the VFX team of Brahmastra.

He glorifies every film. If he gives a film a score, the actual rating would probably be a star and half (sometimes two stars) lower than what he gives. He gave Chennai Express 3.5, the film's 2.5 at best. However, I never consider that guy. But genuine people I trust are liking the movie. I can't see it in theatres cuz I'm not so high on a budget right now. Already spent my recent movie budget on Deadpool and Wolverine. Probably will save till a good film in November or December. But I am still excited for the film.

I knew it!!! When someone like Taran Adarsh over-glorifies a film with 4.5 stars and all, I know that it likely doesn't have quality substance and that he is well paid to glorify the film. Even mY Twitter feed is not buzzing with tweets about this film (considering the ppl I follow and the tweets I read which are mostly on Bollywood and regional films, I can sense it there). Cancelled my tickets and will watch on OTT when it comes.

Just came back from watching this movie in a packed theater for a Hindi movie after ages. This was the most anticipated film for me this year. Didn’t watch or read any reviews. I am highly disappointed. Completely agree with whatever you guys said in your review. You can clearly see the difference in the quality of both the films. The absence of Raj and DK. Also the last one had dialogues written by Sumit Arora. They had created the magic of Stree. This was neither funny nor entertaining. I think couple of jokes were good but might not have been translated well for you. There were no horror elements as well. My god the music was so bad. It was a torture to sit through.

Is a gem of movie... Incredibly entertaining, very well written and award worthy performances. The linguistic layer to jokes is super fun and intelligently done 👏 if Stree was 10/10 this is 9.5 ... Shame that foreigners missed 90% of the humour. Calling this poor is like calling Deadpool boring 😆 just unfathomable and absurd

No no ofcourse. But after hearing what u said about the movie, they went with a comedy heavy story, whereas the trailer took us to a different story. I was also expecting the same layout as the first part. That is why Ik I'll be disappointed too. I'm not blindly discarding the movie.

Disregarding the box office it could be absolutely flopping at the box office but the movie was really funny and really good follow up in my opinion. Go watch it yourselves and form your own opinions and then come back
