I agree but its the studio decision and the sponsor head.. artists who are getting a chance are not so well known but are good and getting a chance .. Its unfortunate that the brunt is faced by the artist here

As others have said, the whole beauty of Coke Studio was just the artists doing their thing and no paraphernalia. The music video version of CS Pakistan and the various languages in India is really not that fun anymore. Khalassi was really amazing and makes me want to go check out Choudhary and all the fun old ones.

2024-08-28 06:29:21 +0000 UTCI hardly ever check Coke Studio India and on those rare ocassions that I do, I can’t help but wonder how far behind in quality it’s always been from it’s neighbouring counterparts. I absolutely LOVE Coke Studio Pakistan, even now when it’s not half as good as it used to be a few years ago. Coke Studio Bangladesh has been remarkable in the recent times. Sadly, India’s version has not just been unsuccessful in competing with them but is actually light years behind in everything - right from the quality of artists, production, classical vs pop/rock vs sufi vs theme based fusions, curating, preserving and portraying regional music in the right manner to musicians / bands, sets, BTS and everything else. Super disappointing this one and also the last one I remember checking out from CSI, which was possibly Khalaasi. Unpopular opinion maybe but sorry i have no love for CSI 😐
