Nationalism is just another religion with a flag! I have a feeling that this movie is going to be well crafted propaganda presented with love undertone

FilmFreak

So now we just say anything huh (not to you Pratyush I agree with you)

In tamil ultra nationalist movies were done by captain vijaykanth same old Pakistan terrorist and fighting for india. In malayalam suresh gopi(BJP) does that. But kamal hassan takes even sensitive topics like in hey ram and vishwaroopam and shows it well without any propaganda. So I hope he being producerikeeps a check on that

I'm think it wouldnt be the ultra national/patriotic movie not just coz of the lead actors and KH,I also liked the directors first film rangoon. The trailer looks quiet good and both SK and Sai are looking great😍🥰 also i doubt in Tamil such ultra national movies would be any successful too so that could become a huge risk. The opening scene in trailer got to me,it is quiet emotional.😔

Divya

With KH producing it I doubt this film will be jingoistic. Hope this will be a good watch!

You are right. The fact that this is a Tamil movie and they dont do trash like URI, and both SK and Sai seam to be people who wouldn't do hypernationalistic war movies, is the only reason I would have somewhat open mind about this.

Pratyush A

Cuz it’s a Tamil film and they rarely do these types of patriotic films (plus it’s KH producing) I don’t expect that to happen but you’re right I’m not a fan of those films

Hoping its not some filthy Right Wing Propaganda like Uri(or American Sniper being another example)...there is a very thin line and Indian Biopics, especially military ones cant help but dehumanize Kashmir and its people and often lose their way. So hope they manage to walk the thin line. The cast is excellent. India as a country hasn't learnt how to make war movies without being shamefully hypernationalistic, so not expecting some anti-war biopic. But if it's not another Uri or American sniper, maybe that would be a start.

Pratyush A

Yes it’s a Tamil film. Also you’ve seen SK in Doctor but also Maaveeran (director is Madonne ashwin)
