Big B is a bigger star/legend in rural India and small towns. SRK is bigger than anyone India has produced across industries if we look at urban, international and economic acclaim... Rajnikanth would be 2nd there (thanks to Japan etc) and then Aamir but SRK is 3x famous and richer abroad than everyone else ... Has more wealth than the GDP of some neighbouring countries 😆

Nicknames are such a big part of Indian culture and I also think its something that connects the audience to the actors on a personal level. The current stars don't have this. I never new Ranbir was Raymond so I wish ppl brought it back. A few others Madhuri: Dhak Dhak girl or Mohini for her iconic song Sridevi: Chandni (but her original name is ofc way more popular) Rekha" Bollywood's Diva Jaya B: Guddi (for her first movie I think)

Sanjay Dutt is "Baba" cuz generally in India a kid (typically boys) are referred to as "baba" by the help at home. NOT to be confused with "baba" a name for some old saintly man whose real name you do not know. You'll see it in a lot of older movies. Nowadays they just say sir. But he was the only son of 3 kids, of 2 MAJOR stars -- especially, the son of mother India herself so it felt very fitting to keep calling her grown-ass adult son, "Baba". I feel like the papparazzi never outgrew it and a lot if his early directors/producers would call him that too so it just stuck on and I actually think its very sweet because normally I've seen paparazzi in India call out to him in a very sweet manner --except you know when. He has a very special relationship with them and its very endearing. The obsession around him was just like Kareena and Saif son, Taimur who was also another media obsession as a toddler so Idk why I feel he might grow up to also have an endearing relationship with the media too-- that or he'll just hate them lol. Even tho there's no song on it but LOLO always felt iconic too because lots of people would remember Lolo-Chi Chi as a famous pair. I can't wait for y'all to watch their movie (hopefully Hero No. 1 but just expect it to be funny-stupid) :)
