I hope he does. However, remember how on the middle of 2000s to 2010s, Vikram was being pushed as a superstar and it never came to fruition despite his efforts and all the money producers pumped. Vikram is a great actor, but box office poison as not many films of his are big hits. Even Shankar's I underperformed in comparison to Enthiran. I hope Nani doesn't go down that route that it takes him 10 years to realise he's not a superstar. That is if his films don't become big hits. If they do, then he's there.

Because, compared to Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR, he is not a massive star on their level. His films can and do flop, and unlike them, he does do films of genres that aren't blockbuster-y. He does rom-coms, dramas, mid-budget films and the blockbusters. He's easily the most versatile, but I feel with an announcement a year in advance, they're trying to build his star meter to the others levels.
