Perhaps the greatest of all Don Bradman was 173 cm, Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar are around 165 cm, Kohli and Ricky Ponting around 175 cm.. It probably helps to have a low centre of gravity to have a stable, balanced base which helps with footwork (going back or forward), and also at picking up length quickly (meaning judging fast where the ball is gonna land on the pitch from the bowlers hand).. Being tall helps with reach which is useful against spin bowlers but against pace, judging length is vital!
