Its a Shame that they let the " Naofumi kicks Malty ( Myne) lightly when she was unconscious" Scene out of this. He looked in the LN for something to restore his SP Points after he used the Iron Maiden against the Soul Eater, and he didnt hesitate to plunder Malty and Motoyasu at first, and gave her a Kick on her Ass when she was on the Ground. ^^ When Naofumi used Parts of the Dead Soul Eater to feed his Shield, he unlocked a Pretty Good Shield, which is even slightly better from the Stats than his Chimera Viper Shield ( Though the Chimera Viper Shield still has the better Counterattack against Humans and Normal Monsters, since the Soul Eater Shields Counterattack only Work against Ghost like Monsters and Souls) Soul Eater Shield: Equip Bonuses: Second Shield, Spirit Resistance (medium), Spirit Attack Resistance (medium), SP Up, SP Recovery (Small) Special Effects: Soul Eat, Drain Effect, Intangibility, Undead Control Chimera Viper Shield: Equip Bonus: Antidote Compounding up, Poison Resistance (medium). Skill: "Change Shield" Special Effect: Snake Venom Fang (medium), Hook Btw Glass isnt Part of the Waves, the Waves are her Enemy too. Further Explanations cant be given until later on in the Season for now ( In the Novels Naofumi came to that Conclusion after the Battle due to Glass Actions (Especially her Fan Weapons where she used Chants and Attacks that are almost identical to there Hero Weapons) and what she said, but he didnt learned more until some Time later )

Honestly speaking, not a bad philosophy, I read the first book (as opposed to reading ABOUT the book) yesterday, and Malty is worse than in the anime . Malty isn't really any more terrible to Naofumi, but we see a bit more of how he's not the only one who's life she's ruined... Including, but not limited to: selling potential rivals in Motoyasu's party into a not so flattering form of slavery... In addition, I can confirm that anime Naofumi is a saint as forgiving as Buddha compared to the book. A while after fighting the rabbits in the book equivalent of episode 2, they went to get a new weapon for Raphtalia, and the guy thought to himself "it would be fun to watch [Raphtalia] die, I could imagine her being that woman." He also activated the curse a bit more often, including immediately after the pact to force her to tell him her name. He still took good care of her, in fact, it shows a lot more in the how well he treated her in spite of circumstances, but the more dark side of his mind was more visible as well.
