Herman, the Replica is only that: A Replica. its far inferior to the Original Hero Weapon. For one, there is the massive Mana Consumption, and Secondly, they could never replicate the True Power of those Weapons. The only Reason why he did more Damage than Motoyasu is, that the other Heroes still believe its a Game, so they waste Tons of Potential Power. If the Heroes would not be so narrowminded, they would have Power that far surpassed Naofumis Shield of Wrath.

2021-05-15 14:31:29 +0000 UTCI could have misremembered that crypt being where the weapons where supposed to be. I don't think I did, but it's certainly possible. If anyone else has read the novels I'd love for them to confirm whether or not I imagined that however :/ As for things I'm absolutely sure I remember correctly (which I'll stick with for this episode so it'll be a lot less than usual): Naofumi commented that Itsuki and Ren coming to help them defeat the Pope (whom is referred to as "High Priest" in the novels) made Naofumi feel like some mid-boss anti-hero/rival character to Motoyasu. He also commented that the replica must be, at the very least, fifteen times more powerful than Motoyasu's spear, judging by the fact that the replica did more damage through the Shield of Wrath than Motoyasu did through his regular shield.
