It's the arc that introduced me to the series and it is almost perfection!

My man, Araragi literally said in this episode that majority rule is the ugliest thing humanity created, he already made very clear his thoughts on the matter. If you think it wasn't enough, that's fine, it's your interpretation, but I think of You are going to write about "the resolution of the arc" like that, try spacing your spoiler warning a bit more and making it more visible, so he doesn't read it by mistake

indeed, owari is big nice

Owari hype!

yes, the months are correct, i first read it as you saying that the nadeko arc was in december, but that was just me having trouble with english. SPOILERS OF THE ARC but read what you said, and watch the ep again, you just literally gave away the resolution of these 2 eps, you should have waited to talk about araragis opinion on the mayority rule, yes i can clearly see that there is a lot of talk about it in this ep, but he never gives a real opinion on it, that was all just set up for the next episode, you literaly said "he despises mayority rule" and that wasnt implied in the episode at all, thats what the next episode is all about, was it that hard to wait 1 day to say your little fact about why araragi said that on bake?

J Scarampi

Hmm.. I see what you're saying. Though due to the fact that Araragi comes to the conclusion of 'I don't need friends' at the end, I think it's fairly easy to infer.

Months are correct, those arcs are in August and the post credits of Shinobu Time happen four months later, in December. And about the majority rule, there's a whole section talking about it with a little internal monologue and imagery with the japanese lucky cats holding their paws up

Yeah, but araragi still havent said anything about his opinión on it, i only meant that...

J Scarampi

Have to disagree. The beginning of the episode (minute 7:54 in the streamable link) has Araragi state this is a story about numbers, a story where the majority rules.

jaidoru

You are getting a bit ahead with your info giving, that talk about the mayority rule?...

Just for reference, Araragi meets Ougi in October (as stated in this episode) and the Mayoi Jiangshi and Shinobu Time arcs in Second Season happen around August. But both of them have scenes where Araragi is talking to Ougi because he's retelling all his stories to her in the future, around December, after the Nadeko Medusa happened, but before it's resolution during Hitagi End in January/February. It still happens in many instances during the anime, but it's even more prominent in the novels since the beginning, but Araragi always remarks how Math is the only subject he is still good at even after his decline as a student, so this arc is a good call back to it. Another call back is to the very first scene in the very first book of the series: Bake. If you check Araragi's first conversation with Hanekawa in the classroom when they are deciding on what to do for the cultural festival, she lists all the suggestions from their classmates and then proposes a vote to which Araragi replies: "Sure, seems pretty democratic" with irony in his voice that Hanekawa immediately notices. With this episode now we learn that he despises majority rule, hence why reacted in that manner. Him being good at Math is also first referenced during this dialog, the first of the whole series. His personality changing after entering high school is another thing pointed out way before this arc, during the First and Second Seasons, most of the times by Hanekawa, so one can only assume Isin had the idea for the events about to unfold since the very start. This arc is, by far, the one with the most cut details from the books, and that damages a lot the understanding of some of its events, so I'll apologise right from the get go, but my comments might be longer than usual for this first half of Owari xD
