Chapter 1: Part I Alpha release & Discord

Hey everyone,

Here it is at last! Before you download, there are a few things I would like to point out:

• I did not playtest every route after merging the script with the Prologue, so you may encounter bugs (hopefully you won't, but I'm warning you just in case). I also made some adjustments to the code of the Prologue itself, so if anyone decides to play through the Prologue again, please let me know if there are any issues
• The alpha version does not contain updated character sprites - I will need an extra day or two to finish those up, and I didn't want to make you wait even longer when I am already so far behind schedule
• Because of changes made at the end of May after concluding work with a writing consultant, Chapter 1 will be split into two, possibly even three parts. Since it is something of a filler episode, I personally think that Part I is far inferior to the Prologue, but I hope to reach (and surpass) that standard of quality with the next episodes once the plot has a chance to pick up its pace. A good amount of the art for the rest of Chapter 1 is finished, so I believe I can release Part II fairly soon, and I am probably going to add Part III just because of some extra side plots that I want to squeeze in between the two episodes. That said, it took me over 14 days to write everything (code, dialogue and narration) for CH1P1 from scratch - about 38k words compared to the Prologue's 56k-ish, so it will definitely take at least a month to release Part II.
• Finally, and perhaps most importantly, please let me know what you think about the episode. I appreciate any and all feedback from you. Whether it's about typing errors, bad art, bad dialogue, boring scenes, unfitting music, anything that you feel is off, please do not hesitate to tell me. You can post your feedback in the discord channel, or just send me a PM if you prefer.

The public release will come out after at least a day or two, once I've had a chance to fix character sprites (and potentially other issues that may arise). It will also contain an extra scene, albeit a very short one, so I do recommend you wait for it if you are interested in that.
