Welcome to the first instalment of Friday Favourites! Really wanted to create a space where I could share what I'm currently loving with you guys - and have you do the same in the comments! Here are the things I've been obsessed with recently, can't wait to hear yours! ☺️
★ TO WATCH ★
- The Neighbors' Window: An Oscar-winning short film I came across on YouTube this week, just a nice reminder to appreciate what you have❤️
Watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1vCrsZ80M4
- Bad Poetry Tokyo: A gritty, violent and emotional award-winning independent film that's set in Tokyo and the countryside of Japan. It's in Japanese but available to watch on Vimeo with English subtitles (costs about $8 to rent).
Official Synopsis: A 30 Year old woman, a hostess past her time working at a shady club and an aspiring actress living in Tokyo. Betrayed by her love and her dreams crushed, the broken woman leaves Tokyo for her hometown in the countryside after five years of no contact with her family. There she reconnects with an old flame but is also forced to confront some unpleasant truths about her past.

★ SNACKS/RECIPES ★
- KIND Breakfast Protein Bars: These little protein bars have been a great pick me up in between meals! They don't contain that much protein so they don't have that powdery taste that you get with lots of protein bars. I haven't found a product from KIND that I don't like yet, they have great snacks!
I order them from here, but your local shops might have them! https://iherb.co/d9uqQG7m
★ SELF CARE ★
- Dry Brush: I've started dry brushing again to exfoliate & improve my skin texture, and (hopefully) reduce cellulite. It's only been about a week so far, but my skin feels a lot softer and some of the dry, bumpy patches have disappeared. If done properly apparently it helps drain the toxins out of your body, so I'm going to keep it up and see if I notice any more improvements.
Here's the brush I use: https://iherb.co/4a5kDKqT
And an instructional video on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgPfpwyfndE
- Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield: My new go-to sunscreen. This is a recently released product from Klairs, I was lucky to get to test it out for a while before it went on sale and I instantly fell in love with it! I would recommend this sunscreen to anyone who enjoys a matte look to your skin, it wouldn't be ideal for dry skin types. It starts off with a slightly oily feel when applied but after about 35-40min when it has absorbed into your skin it will leave you with the nicest smooth, matte finish. I put some on before a 2 hour walk in the sun the other day and couldn't believe how nice my skin looked when I got back home! As someone with skin on the slightly greasier side, and living in a humid country - this has been a lifesaver. It will be included in my upcoming skincare box on May. 25th, so if you're interested in purchasing it along with the rest of my summer skincare routine, maybe hold out a bit so you can save some money.

- I'm From Fig Scrub Mask: My new favourite pampering face mask! I'm From just kills it with every single face mask they release. This new Fig Mask makes it into my top 3 products from them along with the Rice and Honey Masks. It contains sugar granules for a gentle scrub, and the sweet fig scent is really nice. Leaves my skin feeling nicely exfoliated and super hydrated. This mask won't be included in my skin care box unfortunately (they didn't have enough available stock). But I think it's currently on sale if you're interested in trying it out!
