Croix has a condition. It’s treatable, if you’re vigilant about it. He was always teetering on the brink of a full-blown outbreak if he wasn’t careful. Drinking made it worse. Sex made it worse. So voluntarily moving to Babylon City where such vices are inescapable? Terrible idea. Enrolling in Fuck University and joining the party frat? Suicidal. But every step of the way, there was a part of him that loved it. He loved knowing what he was throwing away, what he was giving up when he decided to toss his meds and let things spiral out of control. There’s no going back now. It’s permanent.
