I'm glad we jump back in with the Reds, too, they have a charm that is hard to reproduce with anyone else. Their camaraderie is a delight no matter how much they all wanna deny it, it's just that perfect familiarity. I think what I love most about how you write these three in particular is the way you make it so that you can remove Donut and it doesn't feel like anything is missing. He WAS the new guy, sure, and it's not like Sarge and the other two don't have very entertaining rapport with him, but you really grant a solid feeling of *history* between these three. It's good shit. (lmao there are just too many good faces/expressions here -- bedraggled/weary Simmons makes me :allears:, but I also love Grif's face/pose in 5, Sarge's BUOYANT entrance and...the shift between 7 and 8, that is the best. I love the detail of you flipping the perspective, too, Sarge has turned around so Grif and Simmons swap sides 'n go behind him -- it's subtle but v. fine visual storytelling)
