Yorica: Introducing the Starters!
Added 2025-07-12 03:46:25 +0000 UTCUltraviolet's not the only starter set + new layout combo post I have to show... 👀 Finally made some good progress on the Yorica project, we're getting ready to finally post stuff in the coming weeks! As a brief refresher for those that are new or have forgotten, Yorica is a collab region project from me and Fimbo, based on California!
New since last time:
Finalized layout design! The overall idea was a scrapbook and arts and crafts, so I designed a colorful and messy collage with a variety of stickers and designs based on our Fakemon and other aspects of the region. We've since added the dex entry, but we also wanted to do it in a fun way. The idea was baking our professor character (art and design by Fimbo!) straight into the layout, with the dex entry formatted like a text box of his!
Layout, page 2! For the purpose of showing off some more info about each design - a shiny palette, height chart, stat spread and other battle parameters, and a visual of the evolution line!
Now that these are finally done, next on our list is to finalize the evolutions and their renders! Designs are pretty much done now, so we're starting to split up the renders between us and get them done. Also have a couple short video/trailer ideas we're considering. 👀 Going forward, I'll be alternating between Yorica and Ultraviolet so stay tuned!!
