Knowing he needs to have control over his emotions for occulmency and Grindelwald`s memories giving him a hard couple with the fact that he said he had enough of Gellert and Voldemort trying to persuade him, why is he still carrying the pendant around that keeps the link to Gellert? A sensible reasonable Harry that is portrayed throughout the story so far, I would first expect him to take out pendant, store it somewhere, master as much as occulemency to so that he can internalise his emotions especially after his attack on Ron, which he couldn`t repeat against a sheep hence shows a flaw on his master of emotions. Harry so far always saw where he lacked and attacked that weakness earnestly to overcome that wall and make himself stronger. whether it is duelling or magical theory or even studying up to 2nd year material....But his dealing with Gellert especially not distancing himself from pendant for the time being seems a bit off. He struggles with the memory of the girl, understandable. And he learns from Albus that occulmency can help with control of emotions. So why does not he take a break of all that, possible upcoming disturbing memories from Gellert, till he is confident in himself with occulemency?
