Interesting chapter. I'll be looking forward to seeing the reaction of the other characters when they witness what Harry can do outside of a class duel and come to the realisation that what happened in class was irrelevant to Harry's true capabilities.

2023-07-13 20:06:55 +0000 UTCIt‘s not really surprising that he lost I mean that Romanov girl spend 5 years learning spells that would be accepted during school duels adding that stupid smoke shild into the mix makes it frustrating too read, since there was nothing he could have done, harry himself stated that most of his spells would be against the rules. The defeat at the end destroyed the chapter and made no sense tbh. You don’t spend ur whole summer practicing with a duelling world champion simple to be defeated in a few seconds by a girl a year older. If it was Voldemord then okay but the girl nah

2023-07-13 09:23:02 +0000 UTCI suppose you have to create tension with someone of Harry's generation. With her being a Romanov,she would have tutors her whole life. Just don't turn her into a stand-in for female Riddle(conjoining of Paragons).

Idk what to think of this chapter, the fact that Harry was so easily beaten or that he didn’t grow as much as expected from being tutored by Dolohov, Voldemort and Grindlewald all summer. I guess one can argue that they were teaching him to throw around magic like fiendfyre and other much stronger spells that could not be used in a classroom duel but him losing just creates a huge problem for him and the perception of him as the next ‘centennial’ wizard. Grindelwald never lost his duels when he was at school no matter what but here Harry was humiliated which creates an interesting situation, which I am not sure I really like but it makes me want to read the next chapter to see how it all plays out. PS: That smoke spell of Romanov sounds so much like Harry’s spell from M J Bradley’s Archeon Ambition, just with paralysis effects.
