Wallpapers and Seacat 0.4 Inbound

Dear heroes, dear visitors,

thank you for your patience, thank you for your ears, and thank you for simply being around in these strange, hard times. It is not often that so many of us can help so much by simply staying home. Still, it is a hard and lonely, and tests us day in day out. Let us remind ourselves, we are here for one another, we are in this struggle together, all of us.

Now, to the art. To escaping from the here, from the now.

Four Wallpapers

Ok, first the original Witchburner cover, second a piece from Red Sky, third the teased cover of This High House (still only loose notes and sketches), and fourth the section art for the Seacat Rules and Things section on spells and magic. Use them on your phones, your screens, share them around, use them to convince your friends to join the stratometaship :).

Fourth Update

Tomorrow or after tomorrow I'm going to publish version 0.4 of Seacat Ultraviolet Heroes (UH) and Rules and Things (RAT) ... I quite like the second acronym. This update brings:

• the skeleton skin revised into an optional hero type,
• finished core mechanics
• more skills, abilities, and spells - including the golem mechanic / technomancer spell album and most of the 40 UVG backgrounds.
• adjusted remembrance rules for timelost warriors and skeletons co-creating the world around the heroes
• golem creature and equipment blueprints
• and a bit more art

It's not as finished as I wanted (gahh!) but per the previous decision, once I reach 5,000 words, I start bundling it into an update. That's what's happening now.

Before I wrap up: anything in the table of contents that I should add or finish in the seacat RAT before I post version 0.4? Comments in the comments, or in the discord.

Raz said, "Even your distractions have distractions." He's right. Seacat is a distraction, a kind of detour from Red Sky, and here I am, setting up a bestiary. OH WELL.

Enjoy the freebie attachment and watch me accept the fact that my layout in UVG was good enough and I'll have to just go with that.

Proposed Changes to Metahero Tier

I'm planning to change the way the metahero tier works, to make it a little more streamlined with my creative process. I'm thinking of doing the following:

• When metahero backing reaches a certain amount (I think it's $100), they get to choose something in an upcoming work that they want to see a full-color illustration of. This could even be a character of theirs that fits that location. There'd be a bit of back-and-forth on this.
• The illustration goes in the new work, clearly labelled as being chosen by the metahero.
• That metahero also gets a limited license to use the same piece and a hi-res version of it.
• The free .pdfs of finished works and all that stays the same.
