Chapter 376: Ascension

Thank you to Charles Handgis, Kyle Sorensen, and Alan Void for joining the Patreon!

There's probably going to be one or two more chapters for this volume, and then I'll be working on getting it published and getting the associated Keeper's World written up.

Chapter 376: Ascension

Comments

I admit I am courious what will happen in the next volume. So far ever since Udona got her own world at least one deity has gotten a world to govern. Granted that has only happened in the previous volume and this one. However, when the next volume comes up I can't help but wonder who will get their own world to managed next. To be fair the ones left will most likely have interesting world, yet, I can't help but hope that Ryone will be next. I mean who wouldn't want to see what the goddess of Magic would do when she has her own world to manage.

I actually attributed the "Mortal God" thing to mortal's that she choose to make "True Divinity's", in other words normal people that caught her eye at one point or another.

I can't argue that, but it still feels kinda unsatisfying. To make an analogy as to how it feels that way, imagine the following scenario: A hero gets summoned to defeat the demon king. This demonking evolved from a goblin->goblin king->demon king. The hero has to fight through all of demonkind, including the 4 demon generals. And then when the fight against the demon kind happens it ends in a single swordstrike, cuz in the end the demonking was still a goblin at its core. I am not complaining, I am just kinda feeling with poor Dale here. That sob thought the hardest part was still to come, gathering his resolve, entering the fight against pain and suffering!... Only to find out it is as easy as breathing with no challenge what so ever. xD

Those would still be regarded as Advanced classes, just upper tier of the Advanced classes

So are master classes that are better than advanced classes but less the legendary classes. they are lesser version of the legendary classes but aren't unique the way legendary classes are?

Not at all! If you remember, Sarah(EverLasting) once told him that she had a ton of 'mortal gods'. Each mortal god would be the equivalent of a False Divinity. Failure does still result in death, and the Keeper has the option to 'reject' the ascension of an individual if they choose to, refusing to grant them a domain. If they do so, the individual doesn't die, as they had already succeeded in the energy fusion, but they won't have a domain of their own, which will make them considerably weaker than other False Divinities

Wait... so he could have, in some far off future, lots of pseudo 'False Divinity's' and a single one who has the guidance of the system? I thought all ,but the one guy with the class, have no choice but to either be choosen as a "True Divinity" by Dale or fail their "ascension"? Moreover from how it was worded it seemed like death was the natural conclusion to a failure.

This is exactly the same thing as the False Divinity class. However, Dale has not purchased the class yet. The only thing the system will award him for it is the special title, which 'officially' gives him access to the domain. Anyone else can still train the abilities along the same path that he took, or any other path leading to divinity. The only restriction is that only one person can gain the Legendary Class itself at a time, thus becoming the only person to receive the system guidance. Anyone else has to do like Dale is now, making do with manual training.

The 'real' climax to the divinity would have been the Divine Body. He just thought that the last step would be even worse. But if you look waaaay back at the formula that Balu gave him... Way back in chapter 192... Divine Soul 1, Mana 2, Spiritual 1, Divine Body 2, Mana 18... The recipe had ALWAYS been for him to just pump mana into it. He just wasn't able to realize it yet at the time.

I have to agree with Dale. That "climax" to his path was kinda... yeaaah... xD

so how is this different from the false divinity class? and if it isn't dosen't that mean that no one can train the class itself now?
