Dear Heroes,
Welcome to the second half of the first month of the 24th year since the Millennium Bug destroyed all our computer systems!
It is my great, great pleasure to welcome you now to the Orange Land. Between this and the Blue Land, we have the entire action movie genre poster spectrum covered. The other colors are mere details. Chaff to play with.
I've taken the structure of the Blue Land and it worked wonderfully for the Orange.
Warning: some of the Orange Land themes are grim: death, authoritarianism, servitude, human biomodification, child farming. Don't try and be edgy and dump this on children or gentle readers. If you're gaming here, skate over the details or drop themes entirely as needed.
First, an authentic map, as approved by the Orange Land Council authority.

Next, the usual spread for travel, weather, (mis)fortune, and encounters. Essentially, what you need if your players are just "passing through."

Then, the shopping list, including accommodations.

Followed by four pages for the different factions and what they might want. The art is from the 17th of January 2024 ... not, uh, from 2017. I only realized the numbering was confusing after I'd digitized it. Oopes.

And then location and some discoveries (the "Orange Rind" and "Whistler's Watchtower")

I'm pretty proud of these 12 pages. They look good, and there's plenty for a very alien adventure backdrop.
I plan to return to the Orange Land to add a few more locations: Oranje (the city), the Unspoken Lost Settlements, the Sailing Islands at the very least.
Which region shall we visit?
My ploy is to visit each region, then dig down deeper into specific locations within each, building up the setting like a layer cake.
I'll also be making a poll on what to include in the kickstarter.
Yes, a kickstarter is coming later this year for Our Golden Age (all these teasers you've been patiently enjoying) and the Guide Book.
We're currently planning a big square map of the Circle Sea and probably a tourism focused referee screen for the setting (places to go, things to do, troubles to discover) and maybe some dice ... but before I go too deep into these ideas ...
What would you like to see in a kickstarter? What would make episodic play, traveling around the Circle Sea, really work for you? Location cards? Tokens? Figures? Card games? Soundtrack?
It's still early enough that ... well, if you've got a great idea for something you'd like me (us!) to make ... there's a good chance we might be able to pull it off.
I'll go through your ideas and set up a poll later to gauge interest.
!!!_._!!!

(yes, yes, we could put some ants in the kickstarter, too, sure ... )_) ...

As always, thank you for your kind support, thank you for enjoying this strange world and traveling with me.
Wishing you health and happiness,
—Luka
