That is actually a large part of the reason, yes. First of all, it was Dale's early work, when he didn't know what he was doing yet, so he just grabbed every 'fantasy looking' class he could find. As for the reason there is a Swordsman class in the first place, it is because swords are such a common weapon, whether you are discussing magic or tech warfare. Just like the Archer class can apply to any ranged weapons, the Swordsman class can apply to any bladed weapon or effect. For example, blades made of energy like ki or mana could be skills of the Swordsman class. Whereas on the other hand, it becomes a lot less energy efficient if you create similar weapon effects for blunt weapons like hammers or maces.

Your argument itself makes sense. I guess the most plausible answer is that swords are different in that they are mostly sidearms and not used as the Initial weapon. overall i guess the reason is more it was Dales early work to set the classes up and he likely didn't knew enough or had an Initial preference for swords so everyone who uses a sidearm profits

I have been wondering this for awhile now but why is the Swordsman Class the only Class focused on a specific weapon type beside the Archer Class? After all there are axes, hammers, chakrams etc. so it seems a little unfair that they don't get their own respective class. There has to be a package for Weapon Specialized Classes.

Sorry, wasn't really clear in the first response. She is discarding the divinity for now, because she doesn't have a way to properly store it. If she did use it now, it would force her to begin the path that she isn't ready for. However, if she discards it now, she can simply ask for his assistance when the time comes for her to truly ascend.

I get that, it's only that your first comment made me think that she discarded the divinity she filtered from Dales Ki. But from this comment I think maybe she is actually hanging onto it for when she has the required mana, could you tell me/us which it is? Pretty please... *looks at you with puppy-eyes*

It's not so much that she has a problem with being a subordinate god. But... think of it this way. If she began the process with this bit of divinity to assist her through the process, it would lock her in as being his subordinate god, and onto the path of ascension. At that point, she would be on a time limit to complete the rest of the process. However, she isn't ready for that, as she has only just now gotten her mana formed before this invasion.

Does she dislike being his subordinate god? Otherwise it doesn't really make sense to me that she didn't make use of the occasion. Especially after the ordeal of having 90% of her people killed, I'd expect her to grasp any chance at getting more powerful to better safeguard her people.

If she attempted to do so, yes. However, that would lock her in as Dale's subordinate god.

Wouldn’t Scarlet filtering out the divine energy help her ascend?
