Twenty Hero Paths

Dear heroes!

Just about a year ago I teased the barbarian and bourgeois character paths as some of the first parts of the Our Golden Age book. WELL.

Now all twenty paths are ready-enough, so here they are - all together in one delicate 40-page PDF.

The conceit behind them is to provide a resource for both players (lore! names! traits! items!) and referees (lore! NPCs! traits! items!), and I think they more or less meet that target.

Right now is also the time I would love to hear from you. Traits you find underwhelming or stupid, items you think should be dropped, art that needs fixing (I'm looking at you, Bluelander!).

We're also getting pretty close to the end with the OGA book. There are three parts I really need to complete now: 1) the house generator / property mechanic; 2) the green land (+its weird portal stuff and the human-generator), 3) the yellow land + its decapolis town generator.

The book's currently ~250 pages, but I'm chopping some parts that don't fit out and with the remaining lands it should clock around ~280 pages.

I'm honestly a little stressed — we've got a lot of things to prepare in time for the summer launch of this book and the VLG ( https://www.backerkit.com/call_to_action/813def3a-add5-4d6c-b7f6-f0540612c8fe/landing  )and I'm getting nervous. Well, comes with the territory.

We're going to use Backerkit and we've pretty much figured out how to set it up so that all you good heroes will be in line for an hero's discount on the books. Of course, I'll also be talking about it here, but there's also a page to be notified when it goes live ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/sdm-formerly-is-96087008 ) - the date is a little off, it'll actually be late July. About 60 days hence.

There's some nifty stuff in the pipeline ...

Yup. Those are cards.

And a big National Geographic style map. Yup. Early stages.

Because I'm a bit crazy, there's also going to be an alternate, road atlas version of the map on the back of said object.

And some dice.

And a little bonus adventure that some folks will recognize from last year (not the Silver Ship, another one, a bit older ... but Silver Ship will come, too).

So, all very interesting.

Oh, and I'm waiting on some other news that I hope to be able to share with you soon this summer. Also big.
